SlutWalk is coming to NYC on October 1st!

SlutWalk first began in Toronto, where on January 24th, 2011, a representative of the Toronto Police gave shocking insight into the Force’s view of sexual assault by stating: “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”.

Oh yeah? Well maybe cops should stop dressing like strippers. Come to slutwalk!

Kittens Ablaze, Vaz, Ponytail, Crystal Antlers, Pocahaunted, Car Commercials. I am going through my old emails trying to clear out some space and I can’t delete the Todd P newsletters because the names of the bands are too amazing. This is a Modern Bummer, which is also a Bill Hicks bit, and also the name of a band. There is equal chance that they named their band after the Hicks track on his album as there is chance they just relate to the general concept of modern bummers. Too lazy to google you, Modern Bummer, to find out your intentions!

Update: Purely coincidentally, Modern Bummer, as it turns out, is a band comprised of people I know in Brooklyn. In other news, I’m moving to California.
